August is here! The State Fair is right around the corner and it’s the kids last month of summer vacation. It’s crazy how fast this summer is going by. This is also a time of the year to think about getting any last minute landscaping done! Before you know it the season will be gone in the blink of an eye.
We installed a lot of great landscape projects this past month. July was a struggle to stay on schedule with all the rain and heat we had. The project I am going to share with you was a complete re-do around the entire foundation of a home in Rosemount.
FIRST STEPS:
The project consisted of removing all of the landscape around the entire foundation and starting with a whole new fresh look.
Removing and disposing of all the shrubs, retaining walls, rock, edging and debris from the landscape beds was the first part of the project. Once the crew completed the removals they were able to begin the installation process.
INSTALLATION:
Installing four retaining walls was the first part to the installation process. We used County Tribute retaining wall with canyon brown for the color. The crew then installed soil inside the landscape beds to build up any low spots and to have everything slope away from the foundation. Poly edging was installed around all the landscape beds followed up with a mixture of perennials and shrubs to add color and texture throughout the landscape beds. The last part to complete the project was to apply preen and brown colored mulch to the beds. Hats off to the crew for the work they did to create such a beautiful landscape.
