The sweet corn is rolling off the packing line, bell peppers are being harvested, and the cabbage is flying out of the field. Our crews have really stepped up the pace, moving from field to field to keep the momentum going. I think it’s safe to say that things are at about full swing around the farm this week and will continue to be for the next couple months.
Each day we pick a multitude of crops: sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, cabbage, kale, cucumbers and more. This week, we’re spotlighting a new addition to the crop list this year: fennel. Many of us will have to do some research to know how to use that one!
Thankfully, the heat has granted us a break today and spirits are high on this beautiful morning in the field!
