Grandma Pahl’s Frozen Sweet Corn Recipe

by | Aug 4, 2020 | CSA Member Updates

This tried-and-true recipe created by Grandma Pahl is one we keep going back to. Just can’t mess with perfection!
Ingredients:
9 cups fresh Sweet corn, removed from the cob
2 cups cold Water
1 Tablespoon Salt
1/4 cup Sugar (optional)
1 stick of Butter (cut up and spread evenly over corn)
Directions:
1. Place corn in a 9” x 13” pan.  Add 2 cups of cold water, spread cut butter evenly over corn, then sprinkle on salt and sugar.
2. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Bag corn but let cool before sealing bags (approx. 1 1/2 to 2 cups of corn with juices per bag).  Freeze. (Remember to write the date on your bags.)

Enjoy all year round!
