Harvest Highlights: Week 1 CSA News & Updates

by | Jul 10, 2024 | Dee's Corner

Finally, the Wait is Over!

We are all ready for some delicious local produce, right!? Welcome to Week One of the 2024 Pahl Farms CSA season, thank you to all for sharing in our harvest! First share box pickup of the season is this week.

We suggest heading straight home after picking up your share to go through the box and get everything refrigerated. It’s important to not let it sit in the hot car or out on the kitchen counter. It is good to get into a routine of placing newspapers on the table or counter and spreading all your items out. Compare items to the pictures in the newsletter, in order to identify them and then shake off any loose sand or farm soil. At this time, do not wash anything, it’s best to wash the items just prior to using.

Included in our items this week are the $20 gift cards to Von Hanson Meats and Great Harvest Bread, these will be distributed in addressed envelopes at your pickup location. It is the members responsibility to ensure they leave their pickup location with their gift cards. These are like cash, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

On a final note, please try to read all of our CSA communications. We promise to do our best to not get too long winded, but it is important to us that our CSA members stay informed and have a fun, adventurous, successful season.
